Kari Lake's Claim That The Media Is 'Living On Planet Crazy' Get Flipped Right Back Onto Her

The failed GOP gubernatorial candidate in Arizona called the media 'completely desperate' as she continues to claim the 2022 election was stolen from her.

Failed Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake was mocked online following her latest attack on the media.

As a far-right conspiracy theorist who has perpetuated baseless claims about the 2020 and 2022 elections, Lake's credibility has been undermined by her failed legal challenges and the contradictory statements made by her own witnesses. Despite these setbacks, Lake continues to cling to her unfounded allegations, vowing to escalate her case to the Supreme Court.

Despite mounting setbacks, Lake continues to demonstrate her increasing desperation to overturn the election outcome.

During an appearance on Newsmax, she resorted to attacking the media, labeling them as "completely desperate." Lake accused the media of being willing to say anything and portrayed their desperation as evidence of their alleged bias and untrustworthiness.

Lake said:

"They're living on planet crazy, and I don't frankly want to be on that same planet with them because they've lost their minds."
"You know, they'll say anything."
"It shows you how desperate they are. They're just completely desperate right now."

You can hear what Lake said in the video below.

Lake's attempt to belittle the media and coin the phrase "planet crazy" backfired on Twitter.

Critics seized the opportunity to respond and criticize her own unfounded claims.

Her critics have called attention to the irony of her remarks, given her own baseless allegations and unsuccessful legal challenges. The phrase "planet crazy" has become a rallying point for those who find Lake's conspiratorial rhetoric and refusal to accept the election results as disconnected from reality.

The mockery was swift.

Lake refused to concede in November 2022 after she officially lost the gubernatorial race to Democrat Katie Hobbs, the Arizona Secretary of State whom Lake threatened with imprisonment on baseless and unspecified allegations of criminality related to the 2020 election.

Lake's loss was yet another sign those who've backed former President Donald Trump's "Big Lie" that the 2020 general election was stolen were being repudiated at the ballot box.

The overwhelming majority of Trump's chosen candidates failed to make traction on Election Night, which did not result in the "red wave" Republican legislators and pollsters had counted on and were seen as a referendum on how much sway Trump and his rhetoric still have over the American electorate.
