During a recent online fundraiser for the Biden Campaign, Julia Louis-Dreyfus blasted Donald Trump's environmental record.

The former Seinfeld actor compared Trump's actual performance in office to her own purposely awful—and fictional—portrayal of U.S. Vice President Selina Meyer on the HBO television series, Veep.

She said Trump's real-life performance was far worse.

According to Deadline, Louis-Dreyfus doled out the criticisms while she emceed a virtual fundraising event attended by 655 Biden supporters and prospective donors. She began by reminiscing about the very first episode of Veep, which included a satirical environmental platform.

Discussing the writers behind the series, Louis-Dreyfus laid it out.

"[They] tried to think of the stupidest, weakest environmental gesture that my idiot character could possibly make, so that she wouldn't offend the fossil fuel industry."

In that episode, Louis-Dreyfus, as Vice President, opted for a comically minimal solution: replace plastic flatware with recyclable utensils across the Capitol.

Louis-Dreyfus circled back to real life.

"But that's actually more than Trump has done for the environment in four years."
"Talk about pathetic, he's actually worse than a fictional president with a team of professional writers working 24/7 to make her as bad as possible."

Louis-Dreyfus' comments, though comical in nature, referred to some very serious realities.

Thus far in his presidency, Donald Trump has repeatedly called Climate Change a hoax and made good on campaign promises to dismantle several environmentally beneficial policies that go back decades.

According to a New York Times report, the Trump Administration has rolled back 68 such policies, and continues to work towards the erasure of 38 more.

As word of Louis-Dreyfus' comments got around, Twitter users were eager to note that truth is stranger—and more concerning—than fiction.

And Louis-Dreyfus' environmental comparison was not the only time she called out the unqualified nature of the current United States leadership.

The actor also responded to presumptive Democratic Nominee Joe Biden's recent quip that she could be his VP pick.

"I was of course flattered."
"But then I realized, this is America. We can't make a totally unqualified, ill-equipped TV personality Vice President. No, no, in this country we make him President."
Here's hoping that the United States begins to look more like real life some time soon.

Hillary Clinton Just Threw Some Epic Shade At Trump Over His Push To Print $250 Bills Featuring His Portrait

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton mocked President Donald Trump following a report he approved a proposed design featuring his portrait on a new $250 bill bearing his signature, despite longstanding federal law barring living people from appearing on U.S. currency.

According to four current and former Treasury Department employees who spoke to the Post anonymously out of fear of retaliation, two political appointees at the department—U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach and senior adviser Mike Brown—repeatedly pressed Bureau of Engraving and Printing staff beginning last year to develop prototype designs for the bill.
