When we think of coparenting fails, we usually think of parents who argue a lot and communicate very little, and the child involved is generally stressed, unhappy, eating very different diets at their various homes, and probably having to spend more time than is recommended with one of their grandmas.
But a child getting baptized without both parents being involved might be a new level of coparenting failures.
In a heated video, actress Julia Fox "crashes out" while calling out her ex-husband, Peter Artemiev, who got their son, Valentino, baptized into his church without involving her in the ceremony or any of the decision-making.
In fact, Fox only found out that her son was baptized because she attended a performance at the four-year-old's school.
"So basically what happened was, I went to my son's school for his school performance. His dad was there, and he came late as usual."
"And then I had to help load some stuff in my car, so we were walking to my car, and he points to this church and he goes, 'Oh, this is where Valentino was baptized.'"
When she asked why she wasn't involved, her ex argued that she was.
"Oh, you were invited. You just didn't want to come."
They continued to argue about the invitation, which Fox argued she wasn't even made aware of, while her ex insisted she "didn't care" about the ceremony.
To make matters worse, Fox's ex-mother-in-law also dismissed her feelings.
"I called his mom, and I went off on her. I said, 'Why the h**l was I not invited to this?'"
"And she was like, 'Well, the priest said that it was like a Russian Orthodox thing, and only Russian Orthodox people could come.'"
"And I was like, wow, now I can see where this man gets it from."
Fox used this experience to caution women about who they have children with.
"These people are f**king animals. Girls, please, please, from the bottom of my heart, who you have a child with will dictate the rest of your life. Do not have a child with a loser."

Some reassured Fox that she was right to "crash out" over this.

Fox has referred to Peter Artemiev as a "deadbeat dad" and as a "raging narcissist" in the past, and this isn't the first time she's cautioned women about carefully choosing who they marry, who they have children with, and given the current political climate, even who they trust and date.
It's clear from Fox's comments that she wouldn't have stopped the baptism and even would have encouraged her ex-husband and son to share this bond through religious faith, assuming their son was interested in the ceremony; she simply wanted to be involved in the process and show support.
It's alarming how some people will go so far to get what they want that they'll literally cut a parent out of a vital milestone in their child's life.
