During a recent hearing in the House of Representatives, Chris Miller, Donald Trump's former acting Defense Secretary, and Jeffrey Rosen, the former acting Attorney General, testified to defend their actions following the January 6 insurrection.

During the hearing, Republican Congressman Jim Jordan of Ohio used his time to falsely accuse Democrats of attempting to overthrow the 2016 election of Donald Trump.

In one line of questioning, Jordan seemed to imply Trump's continued denial of the 2020 election results was acceptable because Hillary Clinton (who conceded the day of the election) had supposedly done the same thing.

Jordan stood by his accusation, sharing it on social media.

Twitter, however, noticed a clear difference between Democrat concerns over election security and a months-long denial of proven reality.

Despite their dissatisfaction with Russian election interference, no Democrats denied Trump won the electoral college vote in 2016—despite his loss of the popular vote.

The internet came together to dunk on Jordan's nonsensical line of questioning.

It seems no matter what Trump does, Republicans will never find his behavior worse than Hillary Clinton.

As Jim Jordan lashes out at 2016 Democrats for refusing to accept election results, he and his Republican colleagues just voted Liz Cheney out of her leadership position because she accepted Joe Biden's win in 2020.

There is no comparison between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton's behavior.

Does Jordan actually believe what he's saying about Donald Trump's behavior being essentially the same as Democrat behavior?

Most likely not.

But his lies will likely give Republicans another talking point to distract the media from the important issues of the day.
