The actor used a quote from the hit show as he joined the picket line for the SAG-AFTRA strike.

Jon Hamm is the latest actor to join the picket line for the SAG-AFTRA strike using his own character's quote on a sign to make his point.

First their was Mandy Patinkin, who altered his famous Princess Bride quote to read:

"You killed residuals, prepare to pay!"

... then there was Billy Crystal with a nod to When Harry Met Sally:

"We'll have what they're having"

Hamm took a page out of their playbook and drove his point home with a quote from his Mad Men character Don Draper.

He wrote on his sign:

"That's what the money is for."

For context, in an episode from season 4 of the AMC show, Draper is in an argument with one of his employees, Peggy Olsen (played by Elisabeth Moss), after he wins an award for one of the commercial ideas she gave him.

The back and forth goes as such:

Don: "It's your job. I give you money. You give me ideas."
Peggy: "And you never say thank you."
Don: "That's what the money is for!"

Sarah Silverman posted a photo of Hamm with his sign to Instagram with the caption:

"THAT’S WHAT THE MONEY’S FOR MOTHERF**KERS
PAY UP AMPTP!!

Viewers of the photo tipped their hats to the actor's Mad Men nod.

After WGA declared a work stoppage in May, SAG-AFTRA officially went on strike July 14, all but stopping any production in Hollywood.

Thanks for fighting the good fight, Jon.
