Full House actor John Stamos opened up about a heartbreaking final text message he received from the late musician, Taylor Hawkins, who was the drummer for the band Foo Fighters.
Hawkins and his multiple Grammy Award-winning bandmates were on tour in Colombia. They were scheduled to perform at the Festival Estéreo Picnic when he unexpectedly died on Friday.
He was 50.
On Twitter, Stamos recalled Hawkins reached out to him in a text expressing he wanted to meet again "before we die."
He wrote:
"This was Taylor Hawkins' last text to me: 'Ya We’ve yet to fully have a hang -Got a put that sh*t together before we die' Wise words from my friend- put that sh*t together!"
Stamos–who had been grieving over the untimely death of close friend and Full House co-star Bob Saget on January 9–added:
"I'm so f'king sad. Another one gone too soon."

His tweet reminded people to think twice about procrastinating with friends and loved ones.
So sorry for your loss. Good message for anyone. Tomorrow I am going to say good bye to my niece who will be taken off life support. A sad reminder we never know what life will bring and make sure those we love know it. Last night I saw your old movie Wedding Wars loved it— Michael Frye (@Michael Frye) 1648279962
I am very sorry. I’m about your age, and despite abundant evidence to the contrary, we tend to think there’s ample time to get around to things we haven’t done. When we’re right, we don’t notice. When we’re wrong, it’s a gut punch. So sorry.— Steve (@Steve) 1648293840
I'm so sorry... Please hug your loved ones. Spend time with them because you never know when/or if, you'll ever see them again. I know, I lost my youngest daughter unexpectedly...
Let's hold on to the memories for the ones we've lost, until we see them again. Just another wake up call that death doesn’t revolve around our calendar or personal plans, especially when drugs are part of the equation.

RIP Taylor. Hope you’re rocking with Neil Peart right now.— David Wood (@David Wood) 1648430042

The statement added a private health provider was tending to the musician, but efforts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.
Hawkins had previously been a touring drummer for Sass Jordan and Alanis Morissette before joining Foo Fighters in 1997–three years after the Seattle-based band was founded by frontman and former Nirvana drummer, Dave Grohl.
Last year, the Foo Fighters were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the band's first year of eligibility.
