Fitness Expert Schools TikToker Who Tried To Roast 'Ego Lifter' For Doing 'Half A** Reps' At Gym

Fitness Expert Schools TikToker Who Tried To Roast 'Ego Lifter' For Doing 'Half A** Reps' At Gym

Despite previously asking gymgoers to be kind, fitness expert Joey Swoll had to send the message on TikTok again.

A TikToker was called out after they posted a video mocking someone they labeled an "ego lifter." They deleted their video after it was roasted for its judgmental and inaccurate assessment.

The overlay on their video read:

“This ego lifter at golds kept going infront of me just to do these half-a** reps.”

Joey Swoll then stitched their video to share more accurate info about the maligned man's workout.

If you have to hide your phone take a video, you probably shouldn’t. #MYOB

He said:

“So these are called ‘partials'."
“This is a great exercise for the deltoid; it’s going to give you a great burn, great pump."
"The key to this workout is to only do about one-third the range of motion of a side lateral raise and to also go heavy and high rep."
"A lot of great bodybuilders love this movement; it’s great for size."

Swoll didn't let the original poster of the video get off easy, however.

He called out their disrespectful language and recording of another person in the gym.

“I also don’t think this man is standing in front of the rack to be mean or disrespectful to you."
“I think it’s just easier for him to use heavyweights, re-rack it, and do drop set moving down the line, after drop set."
"Also, the fact that you had to hide your phone to take this video shows me that you knew better, that you knew you were wrong in what you were doing, but you did it anyway."
"Be better than that."
"Mind your own business.”

After Swoll's stitch with the video went viral, receiving over 1.1 million likes and 7.3 million views, the offender who recorded the first video deleted their account.

Many users went to go and see how or if this person had responded and were met with a blank page.

It never pays to make fun of people, record yourself doing it then use social media to display it to the world.

In the 21st century, your condescension ending up online may just cost you more than a few moments of embarrassment.
