A video of President Biden turning around and walking off into the Amazon rainforest after speaking to the press in Brazil has inspired some clever jokes and memes.

A video of Democratic President Joe Biden finishing a speech and slowly ambling into the Amazon rainforest has become a viral meme.

On Sunday, Biden became the first sitting President ever to set foot in the Amazon rainforest.

In his final months as Commander in Chief, Biden made the historic trek to view the Amazon River, the ravages of deforestation, and address the ongoing consequences of climate change.

After delivering his speech, the octogenarian slowly turned away from the podium and descended into the lush jungle foilage as the camera lingered, awkwardly focused on his slow exit.

You can see a clip of him disappearing into the jungle here.

It was the last time anyone saw or heard from the U.S. President…was one of many wisecracks from the jokesters of the internet.

People asked the same question.

Some thought it wasn't real life.

The memes were priceless.

But fear not.

During his visit, Biden signed a U.S. proclamation declaring November 17 as International Conservation Day.

While the future of environmental protection efforts is uncertain under the incoming administration of Republican President-elect Donald Trump, Biden said at the conference:

“It’s no secret that I’m leaving office in January. I will leave my successor and my country a strong foundation to build on if they choose to do so."

You can watch a video of his full speech here.
