Jimmy Kimmel has released an emotional tribute to Bob Saget.

Comedian and late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel shared a tribute to honor his friend and fellow comedian Bob Saget, who passed away suddenly at the start of this week.

Saget was only 65 and his passing was unexpected, though police do not suspect foul play or drug use to be related to Saget's cause of death.

All of Hollywood has been in mourning for the beloved actor, who was most known as single father Danny Tanner in the hit 90s sitcom Full House and the recent reboot Fuller House.

In addition to his iconic acting role as the gentle father Danny Tanner, Saget was also an accomplished comedian, whose material often struck viewers as risqué and controversial.

Saget's co-stars, including Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen as well as John Stamos, have been singing Saget's praises since the tragic news of his passing broke on Sunday.

Kimmel and Saget had been long-time friends, so when Kimmel recorded a tribute for Saget he was, understandably, quite emotional.

Watch the video here:

At one point during the video, Kimmel, with tears in his eyes, said:

“I’m sorry, I taped this like 14 times."

Kimmel went on to describe his late friend in one word: sweet.

He said:

“Bob was the sweetest, he was the sweetest man, and the reason people wrote that is because it’s true."

Twitter is sympathizing with Kimmel over Saget's passing.

Kimmel also said that Saget was the kind of person who always had something nice to say about everyone he met.

He said:

“He had something funny to say about everything and nothing bad to say about anyone. Never."
"If there were people he didn’t like, he kept it to himself."

Kimmel then added:

“Unlike me, he was a good person.”
