Jimmy John's Workers Post Blistering Rebuttal To Owner's Claim 'Labor Shortage' Caused Store Closure

Jimmy John's Workers Post Blistering Rebuttal To Owner's Claim 'Labor Shortage' Caused Store Closure

The "Great Resignation" rages on, as thousands upon thousands of Americans search for work that can actually support their needs financially while employers refuse to meet them there.

Many businesses across the country face closures as a result of staff shortages because people don't want to work at jobs that pay absolutely nothing for lots of time, stress, and labor.

Nationwide chain food stores have been hit especially hard as their predatory labor practices come to life.

For example, take Jimmy John's.

A sign on an undisclosed Jimmy John's store claimed a temporary closure due to labor shortages.

"This location is temporarily closed due to labor shortage. We are in the process of restaffing to return to normal operations and would like to apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience."

But a sign posted directly next to it told everybody exactly what was going on behind closed doors.

"There IS no labor shortage!!! The owners of this establishment treated their employees like dogs, never once helping us out — they don't even live in Florida."
"All employees (including management) were students and did a great job keeping the store running with no help from the owners. The past few months of crappy business have been the result of lazy, careless ownership."

Jimmy John's does not have a good history of treating its employees well, and were the defendants in a $1.8 million lawsuit regarding overtime compensation they failed to pay.

The shop also forces employees to sign a non-competition clause explicitly forbidding them from working for other sandwich shops even up to 2 years past the end of employment.

The Great Resignation has not seen its resolution yet.

There are currently two open jobs for every unemployed American.

The manosphere is defined as a "varied collection of websites, blogs, podcasts, and online forums by men and for men often promoting masculinity, misogyny, and opposition to feminism. Communities within it include men's rights activists, incels, Men Going Their Own Way, pick-up artists, and fathers' rights groups."

Could SMG return to the IKWYDLS reboot?

Sarah Michelle Gellar? More like "Sarah Dead Gellar."

At least that’s what the iconic scream queen told director and best friend Jennier Kaytin Robinson when she tried to pitch all the ways to bring back Helen Shivers’ frozen corpse to life for the I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot.

Hegseth Dragged After Report Reveals He Demanded His Own Makeup Studio At Pentagon

Hating drag queens and insisting on traditional gender roles is a Republican article of faith at this point.

So why is far-right MAGA Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, who has tried to kick trans people out of the military, demanding that a makeup studio be added to the Pentagon press briefing room for him?
