Jenna Ortega's Mom Just Threw Some Serious Shade At Her After She Was Seen Smoking

After paparazzi spotted the 'Wednesday' star smoking a cigarette, Natalie Ortega went into full mom mode on Instagram to let Jenna know just what she thinks about the deadly habit.

Jenna Ortega is one of those rare young-Hollywood types whose star quality feels like it's from another era, sort of like she was teleported to us from the past.

So in a way it only makes sense she recently went viral for being caught smoking by the paparazzi. Who smokes in 2023 period, let alone Gen Z!

The paparazzi video of Ortega having a smoke break sent fans into a tizzy, many of whom were dismayed to see their favorite star having taken up such an unhealthy habit.

Though, per her status as a figure with a type of stardom we just don't see much anymore in the streaming and internet era, some of her fans couldn't help but love the old school vibe of the starlet dragging on a cigarette like back in the day.

One person definitely not feeling Ortega's habit, however, was her greatest fan of all—her mom Natalie Ortega, who shaded her daughter online with memes trolling her for her smoking habit, as seen below.

Natalie Ortega took to Instagram to share a number of Stories shading her daughter for her habit. And while she never mentioned her daughter at any point, the message was clear--you're in deep trouble young lady!

One panel of Natalie Ortega's Instagram Story featured the grey-skinned troll Gollum from The Lord of the Rings series with the caption, "don't believe those lies about cigarettes being bad for you, I've been smoking for most of my 20 years and I feel great!"

Subsequent panels included no-context information about lung and oral cancer, "cigarette stench," the habit's impacts on teeth, gum, eye and bone health, and myths about smoking like the frequently repeated and untrue claim that it helps you relax--it actually does the opposite.

Perhaps Natalie Ortega was just posting this stuff just because but it seems like she was sending a message to her daughter that her mom is onto her!

And fans online couldn't help but laugh about Jenna Ortega's mom's perfectly shady response to her smoking.

Natalie Ortega did more than just shade her daughter on Insta, though. She concluded her string of memes and trolls with one about motherhood that read:

“A mother is always a mother. She never stops worrying about her children, even when they are all grown up and have children of their own.”

Even when you've rocketed to the A-list, you're still your mom's child. And she WILL cyber-bully you about your smoking habit if she has to!
