You know it's bad when Aquaman himself is coming after you.

After footage from a fishing boat off the coast of Greenland surfaced showing two fishermen mutilating a shark seemingly for fun, Jason Momoa had quite a bit to say about it.

Here is the video (follow link if you want to see the video).

Warning: this video is so graphic and violent that Facebook does not allow it to be embedded.

Jason Momoa uploaded an Instagram post after finding the Facebook of one of the men responsible.

"Your laugh makes me furious never have I wanted to hurt a human as much as I did when I heard your laugh and what u said."

Momoa added:

"We all make mistakes but what u did was evil PURE EVIL."

The poor shark which the fishermen maimed is a Greenland shark, one of the most gentle species of shark known to man.

They also can live for hundreds of years; the Greenland shark lifespan is thought to be between 252 and 512 years.

The two men are being held accountable for animal cruelty and may face fines or jail time if Icelandic law covers their transgression.

"This is neither catching nor hunting. In my opinion, this is subject to the law," said Þóra Jóhanna Jónasdóttir, Veterinary Officer for Pet Diseases and Animal Welfare at Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority.

"A man does not hurt animals and lets go of it knowing that it will most likely be in pain and die in suffering."

The two men have been fired from their jobs as fishermen.

"We owners and shipowners Bíldseyar SH 65 disgrace and condemn the horrendous event that occurred in a video that accompanies DV's news today," the owners of the fishing boat wrote in a statement.

"So far, we have tried to adopt good working practices and responsible handling of the resource and the environment in general. This event is completely unjustifiable and those who were there for work have no claim. We have no choice but to reject further work by people who demonstrate such behavior. "

We, along with Jason Momoa, will be following the case in the hope justice is served.
