If you've been anywhere near Twitter the past several weeks, you'll know that former Glee star is not exactly among the most beloved celebrity personalities nowadays.

Between multiple allegations by former colleagues of abusive behavior and her controversial takeover of the Broadway revival ofFunny Girl following Beanie Feldstein's exit, Michele has landed on several people's sh*t list lately.

So when an old clip of Hollywood legend Jamie Lee Curtis shading Michele recently resurfaced, of course the internet went wild.

The clip came from Michele's 2021 appearance on Curtis' podcast "Good Friend with Jamie Lee Curtis. The clip was posted by podcaster and author Danny Pellegrino, who called it "savage."

And frankly that's an understatement.

Hear the clip below.

The moment happened during a discussion of Michele's breakout Broadway role in the celebrated musical Spring Awakening back in 2006. Curtis asked about the Tony Awards won by the production, which swept several Tony categories in 2007.

Michele proudly replied:

“We won eight Tony Awards."

To which Curtis, without missing a beat, replied:

“But you didn’t, Lea.”

Stone.

Cold.

So stone cold, in fact, even Michele's dear friend and costar Jonathan Groff, who accompanied her on the podcast, can be heard bursting out in laughter.

Michele is most famous for playing the fame-hungry, imperious and insensitive Rachel Berry on Fox's Glee, a character long-rumored to be all too similar to Michele's real-life personality.

Her takeover of Funny Girl only further cemented this reputation. Rachel Berry's overwrought obsession with the musical as well as Barbra Streisand, who originated the show's lead character Fanny Brice, is depicted throughout the series.

Michele is also notoriously rumored to be difficult to work with. She has been accused of bullying and racism by Glee costars Samantha Ware and Amber Riley as well as actor Yvette Nicole Brown, who worked with Michele on another project.

Given all the context, Curtis' drag of Michele had lots of people on Twitter taking notice.

Michele begins her run as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl in September alongside Broadway legend Tovah Feldshuh, who will play her mother Rose Brice.

Karoline Leavitt Dragged After Making Mind-Numbing Claim About Trump's Tariffs Reversal

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is getting called out after she attempted to justify President Donald Trump's sudden reversal on his proposed tariffs, telling reporters that his actions make sense because he has a master plan to make the world bend the knee.

Trump declared a full 90-day suspension of all the “reciprocal” tariffs that took effect at midnight April 10—except for those on China—in a dramatic about-face from a president who had long championed his historically high tariff rates as permanent.
