Actor Joshua Jackson recently taught his 4-year-old daughter, Juno Rose, a lesson in resilience and joy after disaster.
The Doctor Odyssey star shared an Instagram post about painting his daughter's room bright colors, complete with rainbows and a sky-blue ceiling. He did this after his family lost their home in the Los Angeles wildfires.
Jackson, who shares custody of his daughter with ex-wife Jodie Turner-Smith, was quick to assure everyone at the time that the people in his family were safe and sound; it was just their home that had burned to the ground alongside countless others.
He has been quick to get going on a rebuild so that Juno Rose can have a childhood home.
“It’s hard, and a lot of people are going through it."
"Everybody’s going through it in their own way, but for me, there was no question of rebuilding, and I wanna build a place for me and my daughter quick enough that it will still be her childhood home."
In the building process, he asked his 4-year-old what she might want in a new house, and Juno Rose had no shortage of answers.
He said he was even more inclined to fulfill her interior decorating wishes, as he had not been able to grant them in their old house that burned down.
“For months before the fire JR was on me to paint a rainbow room. I was working and I couldn’t quite figure out where to do it and yadda yadda… I didn’t do it. Which I now really regret."
Folks praised his fathering job.

The room looks fantastic, and now Juno Rose has a truly amazing childhood room, courtesy of her own design choices and her dad's ability to grant wishes.
