In a world gone mad, there is comfort to be had in the fact that everyone in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is still trolling Ryan Reynolds.

Hugh Jackman was the latest to join the parade after receiving an Emmy nomination for his performance in the HBO series Bad Education.

"I don't think he's going to get out of bed for three days," Jackman said, of Reynolds' reaction to his fifth Emmy nod. "There could be a lot of bitterness and anger seeping through. It's going to be a tough day for him."

Reynolds was quick to respond, as usual.

Fans expressed their admiration for the pair unequvocally.

"Buddy! Congratulations! Just heard you got an Emmy nomination. That's crazy. That's crazy...not because you don't deserve it...well..." Reynolds says, cuttingly as ever in his video.

The role that Jackman was nominated for was Frank Tassone, a former Roslyn, New York superintendent who embezzled $11.2 million from the district and was prosecuted and imprisoned for his crimes.

This playful feud between Jackman and Reynolds has been going on for the better part of a decade.

"I met him back on 'Wolverine,' and I used to ream him because I was very close friends with Scarlett, and Scarlett had just married Ryan," Jackman said to The Daily Beast.

"So when he came on set, I was like, 'Hey, you better be on your best behavior here, pal, because I'm watching,' and we started ribbing each other that way ... Then it all escalated with the 'Deadpool' thing and him calling me out."

Anyway, their faux feud is important to our daily lives right now.

Thank goodness for little reminders of normalcy.
