Ireland Baldwin Puts 'Boy Moms' On Blast In Hilariously Blunt PSA On TikTok—And She's Got A Point

The model called out 'boy moms' who seem grossly attached to their sons in a hilariously brutal TikTok video.

American fashion model Ireland Baldwin filmed a PSA addressing the topic of toxic "boy moms" and how much it really gives her the icks.

The stigma of overprotective and manipulative boy moms, who are typically mothers of boys, originates from a mom's insecurity that can include fear of losing control over their sons, financial concerns, or marital issues.

Such controlling mothers tend to adversely affect their son's mental health, which can eventually lead to the son having toxic relationships in adulthood.

According to Style Craze, "interfering with who to marry and further interference later in the marriage is another sign of a toxic mother-son relationship. It causes marital problems and sometimes burns the bridges between the son and his wife."

Baldwin, who is the daughter of actors Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger, expressed her antipathy of boy moms on TikTok while carrying her napping newborn girl Holland in a baby sling.

Speaking at a hushed volume to avoid a wakey-wakey situation, the 28-year-old mom told viewers:

"My baby is napping on me as usual, and I felt compelled to make a TikTok about something that really grinds my gears."
“This is a major PSA to any ‘boy moms’ out there who feel like it’s ok to make those videos where you’re like, ‘I know I’m not always gonna be my son’s only love…’”

After making a gagging expression, she resumed by saying:

"They're like, 'I know you won’t always be my boy. One day you’ll love another woman more than me…"

After mimicking the dry heaves in response to the last imagined quote, Baldwin continued:

“You are the mother-in-law that I hope and pray and beg the universe that my daughter never has to encounter."

She concluded with a special message to possessive mothers of boys.

“I hope your son meets a powerful and strong woman who encourages him to follow his dreams," she said, adding:

"And I hope they move across the country or out of the damn country far the f'k away from you. Sorry!"

Baldwin captioned the clip with:

"BOY MOMS LISTEN TF UP."

Boy moms, take note.

It's perfectly okay to let your adult son fall in love with another person and create a life together based on that love and mutual respect.

It's an extension of love that takes nothing away from the kind of love you have for your son.

On May 18, 2023, Baldwin gave birth to Holland, whom she shares with Oregon-based musician and record producer RAC.

Holland was named after the Netherlands in keeping with the tradition of Baldwin being named after a country.

Her baby's name was also inspired by Emmy-winning actor Holland Taylor, whom Baldwin greatly admires.
