Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Ingrid Andress had viewers of the 2024 Home Run Derby covering their ears with her viral rendition of the National Anthem.

Country music singer Ingrid Andress' whipped up a social media frenzy with a cringey interpretation of the National Anthem at the 2024 MLB Home Run Derby.

The 32-year-old is a four-time Grammy nominated singer/songwriter known for her songs "More Hearts Than Mine" and "Wishful Drinking."

Andress butchered the "Star-Spangled Banner" on Monday at Texas' Globe Life Field, with her pitchy vocal flourishes and clumsy licks—all while while struggling to pick a key to sing in.

Internet users crowned her the worst National Anthem singer of all time with her performance, which they could only assume was a parody.

Here is a viral clip of her wince-inducing performance that USA Today reporter Jim Reineking called, "cringeworthy."

The roasting of the country star reached a fever pitch.

Some upset viewers said the professional singer's performance was a disgrace to our nation.

People compared her to past guest performers like Fergie and Roseanne Barr.

One user compared it to Maya Rudolph's SNL skit from 2006 in which she portrayed Pamela Bell, a woman who wins a contest to sing the National Anthem before a World Series game.

Andress's viral performance happened to coincide with her announcment of a new single.

She wrote on Instagram:

"Greetings to everyone that has a pulse. I truly love you all so much. I’ve been absent for a minute, but I’m so stoked to announce that my new single 'Colorado 9' comes out on July 24th, pre-save it now."

She provided links to purchase tickets for her performances of "two very special shows," one in Nashville on Wednesday and another in Denver on July 24.

"Thank you for being here for me even though I’ve been living under a rock," she wrote, adding, "Y’all are the best and I can’t wait to see you at my shows."
