Influencer Offers Tearful Apology For 'Bragging' About Being Able To Buy A House At 21 After Backlash

TikToker Katylee Bailey sparked some heated debate over her unconventional way of making money.

It's not uncommon for social media influencers to brag about things going on in their lives—it's pretty much expected at this point.

But one influencer put out a tearful apology after she got backlash for bragging a little too hard about buying a house at the age of 21.


Katylee Bailey is a TikTok influencer from Bradford in West Yorkshire, England. She recently made a video bragging about how she bought a house outright.

The video which has over four thousand comments received mixed responses with some congratulating her but others spoke about their own financial hardships and how difficult this time in history is for doing things like owning a home.

Many people criticized her and talked about how they could barely afford to live.

After seeing all of the negative comments on her video, Bailey posted a tearful mea culpa.

While Bailey's original video probably wasn't meant in the way many people took it, it likely wasn't a smart idea to brag about the amount of money she made during a time in history when many people are struggling to survive.

It seems from her apology video that Bailey may have learned her lesson for next time.
