During a rally last summer, President Donald Trump and his supporters revealed just how much contempt they hold for Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN), one of the first Muslim women elected to Congress.

A day after Trump suggested that Omar and the other congresswomen of color making up "the squad" go back to the countries from where they came, the crowd at his rally chanted to "send her back" to the war-torn Somalia she escaped as a child before immigrating to the United States.

Americans across the country were horrified at the open racism on display at the rally, but over a year later, Trump is back to the same tactics.

At a Tuesday night rally, the President once again targeted Omar and implied that she wasn't an American.

Watch below.

Trump said:

"She's telling us how to run our country. How did you do where you came from? How was your country doing? She's telling us how to run our country."

Omar was a refugee who escaped Somalia at eight years old before spending years in a refugee camp, then finally immigrating to the United States. She has been a United States citizen for two decades.

Despite Trump's racism, Omar had no trouble clapping back at him and his supporters' jeers.

Twitter users commended Omar's comeback.

But they were disgusted at Trump's initial remarks.

Earlier this year, Omar handily won her district's Democratic primary and is almost certainly heading to Congress for another term.

Gavin Newsom Shames Trump For 'Politicizing' Los Angeles Fires In Powerful Clip

After President-elect Donald Trump spread lies about the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires, blaming California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom for the destruction, Newsom addressed the matter on CNN, telling Anderson Cooper that Trump "wanted to politicize" the disaster even as people flee and lose their lives.

Deadly wildfires in Los Angeles County remain largely uncontained, with officials reporting at least five confirmed fatalities so far. However, on Thursday, authorities admitted, “frankly, we don’t know” the true extent of the death toll. Evacuation orders are currently affecting nearly 180,000 residents, as thousands of homes and buildings have been destroyed.
