'Law & Order' Star Ice-T Hilariously Weighs In After Man Tackles Las Vegas Judge In Viral Video

The rapper and actor shared the video of Deobra Delone Redden leaping over the judge's bench to attack Clark County District Judge Mary Kay Holthus as a warning of what could happen if you assault a judge.

Rapper and Law & Order: SVU star Ice-T has weighed in on the wild viral video of a man attacking a Las Vegas judge.

The actor, who plays New York Police Sergeant Odafin Tutuola on the show, is among those who have been captivated by the wild video, which has become one of the first viral memes of 2024.

In a tweet, seen below, Ice-T cracked wise about the incident as if it were a Law & Order plotline.

The tweet read:

"On our next Law and Order… ‘How to turn the probation you wanted into a 20yr bid.’ Crazy!"

That may be a joke, but Ice-T is probably more accurate in his assessment than many of us might think.

The incident occurred while defendant Deobra Delone Redden was pleading for probation time instead of a prison sentence for six counts including extortion, coercion by force and felony battery in a case stemming from an incident in which he attacked someone with a baseball bat.

He claimed to Holthus that he is "not a rebellious person" who "never stops trying to do the right thing" and hence did not warrant prison time.

Moments later, when Holthus disagreed and sentenced him to prison, he charged up to the bench, leapt over it, and attacked her and other court personnel, who were also injured while wrestling Redden off of Holthus.

One of those staffers, a courtroom marshal, was injured badly enough that he had to be hospitalized for a head wound and dislocated shoulder.

Redden is now facing seven new felony charges, including battery, stemming from his attack on Holthus, and will likely be going to prison for quite some time.

On social media, people couldn't help but laugh along with Ice-T's likely very correct take on this bizarre story.

But not everyone found the incident funny.

Redden is now being held on $54,000 bail and will return to court on January 9 after refusing to return the day after the incident.
