Hugh Jackman Sparks Debate After Showing Off His Bizarre Choice Of Waffle Topping

The 'X-Men' star's recent trip to a waffle restaurant in England turned heads after he shared his unusual savory topping choice on Instagram.

Hugh Jackman's savory waffle topping seen in his Instagram post had the internet buzzing.

The Wolverine actor shared with viewers what he treated himself to while brunching at the Waffle House in England, which is unrelated to the popular restaurant chain in the U.S.

"Happy cheat meal to me! Nooo!" he wrote in the post's caption featuring a carousel of photos of all the delectable food items from his visit.

He added:

"I did not share. And I’m not sorry."

One of the images in his carousel post was a plate of waffles.

One side of the waffles was drenched in what appeared to be hollandaise sauce with grilled mushrooms on top and the other half had a chunky red dressing.

Could it be bolognese sauce?

While the jury was out on that one, it was clear that the savory dressing was not fruit-based like strawberry.

Here is the entree.

Other photos in the post included a picture of the Marvel actor holding a fork and looking eager to devour his meal, the restaurant menu, and an additional plate of waffles–this time catering to his sweet tooth–topped with slices of banana, chocolate shavings, and a toffee sauce.

As if that weren't enough, he also got a thick strawberry milkshake towering with whipped cream to wash it all down.

But fans couldn't get past mushrooms as a waffle topping.

Jackman loading up on carbs makes sense as he is preparing to bulk up and reprise his role as Wolverine in the upcoming Deadpool 3.

The third sequel to the popular Marvel film franchise starring Ryan Reynolds is set for a November 8, 2024 release.

Speaking to anchor Jake Tapper on CNN last April, Ohio Republican Mike Turner said that Russian propaganda had "infected" the GOP in a clip that has resurfaced after President-elect Donald Trump had him ousted as House Intelligence Committee chair.

At the time, Turner made it clear that his fellow Republicans were parroting Russian propaganda about the war in Ukraine and its relationship with NATO members. That claim came after House Foreign Affairs Committee chair Michael McCaul, who said he thinks "Russian propaganda has made its way into the United States, unfortunately, and it’s infected a good chunk of my party’s base."
