Hope Hicks' Farewell Party Photo Displays Stunning Lack of White House Diversity

There's a pattern emerging.

The White House is under fire for a picture it tweeted from outgoing Communications Director Hope Hicks' farewell party.

Hicks and her aide, Josh Raffel, parted ways with the West Wing on Tuesday night. White House social media director Dan Scavino Jr. posted a picture of their sendoff, and the lack of diversity was noticed immediately.

"Beautiful #TeamTrump send off for #HopeHicks and #JoshRaffel this evening in Washington, DC! On behalf of everyone at the @WhiteHouse, THANK YOU! We love you!!"

Notice it? Literally every person in the picture is white. Twitter wasted no time blasting the White House for the obvious lack of diversity.

"Seriously the least diverse group of people in Washington."

"Can't tell Republicans apart, they all look the same."

"No amount of champagne can wash away the taste of lifelong regret for this guy."

"The Donald Trump Administration: Putting the "White" Back in the White House Since 2017."

This isn't the first time the Trump White House has faced public criticism over a consistently obvious absence of diversity. Last week, President Donald Trump was pictured with the 2018 White House Spring Intern class. Twitter pounced.

"The White House intern photo is like a Where's Waldo for a non-white person—in a country that is about 40% non-white."

"It's always a very easy Where's Waldo though. The lone Black person is always in the first row, and the other one or two POCs are conspicuously arranged in the rows immediately behind him."

"How many are disabled in this photo where typically 20% of people have a disability?"

And last summer, a picture of White House interns made the rounds, again showing a completely homogeneous crowd.

"America:
•38% People of Color
•31% White Women
•31% White Men

White House Interns:
•2% POC
•25% WW
•73% WM

This's what "#MAGA" looks like"

Ok, fine, the one POC in the picture chimed in.

"*record scratch*
*freeze frame*
Yeah that's me, you're probably wondering how I got here."

"Every time i think about this Presidency i feel like i'm playing chicken with my sanity"
