After being accused of lying and gaslighting by shutting down fans who asked her if she was pregnant before she eventually gave birth to son, Halo, in early January, the singer and actor hit back on X, formerly Twitter.

Celebrities' personal lives exist in an odd in-between place of public and private, and often stars will go to great lengths to protect their privacy, which is understandable.

This is what happened recently when Hally Bailey was expecting her first child. The "Angel" singer was able to keep fans in the dark, for months, about her pregnancy with DDG.

Then the first-time parents announced the birth of their son, Halo, on January 6.

Since the announcement, Bailey has shared videos that she shot while expecting. But some fans, apparently, couldn't appreciate the lighthearted content because of how secretive Bailey had been.

Some went so far as to accuse her of lying to her supporters and gaslighting them when they inquired about her pregnancy. The new mom had finally had it with their nonsense.

Bailey criticized people on X (formerly Twitter) on January 28.

People jumped in to defend Bailey's decision to protect her privacy.

Others thought that fans' obsessing over Bailey's private life were out of line.

Another person shared her own reasons for being private about her pregnancy.

And some said that Bailey's privacy was worth the lie.

One offered a sobering context for why a Black woman might want to keep a pregnancy private.

Finally, a person managed to reflect multiple sides of the privacy issue.

Bailey was steering clear of social media during her pregnancy, but appears to be back and posting again.

Trump would later declare a full 90-day suspension of all the “reciprocal” tariffs that took effect at midnight April 10—except for those on China—in a dramatic about-face from a president who had long championed his historically high tariff rates as permanent.

Vice President J.D. Vance and the wider Trump administration are facing criticism now that Colonel Susan Meyers was removed from her post as commander at Greenland's Pituffik Space Base after breaking with Vance in an email she wrote following his controversial visit to the island territory.

Greenland is an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark, alongside the Faroe Islands, the only other autonomous territory within the Kingdom. Citizens of both Greenland and the Faroe Islands are full citizens of Denmark. As one of the Overseas Countries and Territories of the European Union, Greenland’s citizens are also recognized as EU citizens.
