Woman Creeped Out After Guy Texts Her After Overhearing Her Say Her Phone Number To Cashier

We don't think about it as often anymore, but once upon a time, strangers having your phone number was considered a big security threat. Movies like Scream were built around the fear of an unknown person calling your house and stalking you.

Sometimes this happens in present day--but with functions like being able to block the caller, it doesn't seem as dangerous. However, it's still incredibly creepy as one woman found out firsthand.

TikToker @allyh0pe found out how scary this could be when she received an unsolicited text from the man standing behind her in line at Burlington Coat Factory.

After hearing her give her number to the cashier, probably to access a rewards account or something similar, he took it upon himself to save her number and text her, thoroughly creeping her--and several TikTokers--out.

The video, which shows Ally doing a very fraught piece of choreography to the vocally over-the-top "What does it mean?" section of Miley Cyrus's "Twinkle Song."

Unfortunately, nobody really had the answer for what it meant, or why "Jack," as the man referred to himself as, decided he thought this was an okay breach of boundary for a strange woman he'd never met.

While some TikTokers came in to defend "Jack," saying he was "genuine" or "sweet," our original poster, Ally, was having absolutely none of it.

"This ain't the way to go about it," she replied to one apologist.

"He could have just talked to me instead of getting my number when I didn't give it to him."

Jack shot his shot but he missed hardcore--as one is destined to do when they eavesdrop and steal other peoples' numbers from the cashier at Burlington Coat Factory.

Stay safe out there--and remember to keep your voice down while communicating personal information.

ICE Director Says He Wants To Run Deportations Like Amazon Prime, 'But With Human Beings'

While his boss at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Kristi Noem, came hot off the heels of cosplaying again and demonstrating how not to hold a gun, the acting Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was modeling their human rights violations after online shopping.

Republican President Donald Trump's unconfirmed—nor congressionally vetted—acting Director of ICE, Todd Lyons, shared his dreams for the agency during the 2025 Border Security Expo, where private companies explored opportunities to profit from Trump’s mass deportations and rub elbows with Noem and Lyons.
