Guy Mortified After Accidentally Sending His STD Results Instead Of Cover Letter For Dream Job

When applying for a job, you may want to double–maybe even triple-check–any of the paperwork you're uploading for submission.

Otherwise, you might end up suffering embarrassing consequences–the likes of which TikToker Jacques Paul endured after he inadvertently sent his STD results instead of a cover letter when he applied for his ultimate dream job.

Paul shared his gaffe to his 32,000 followers on TikTok as part of a viral "Time Machine" trend in which social media users use the lyrics "I wish I had a time machine" from the eponymous song by Muni Long to express regrets in life.

You can see Paul's clip, below.

The text overlay for the clip read:

"That time I was applying for my DREAM job at my DREAM company but accidentally submitted a PDF of my STD test results as a cover letter."

Oops.

Jokesters assumed his test results were not in his favor.

When a user asked if he eventually got the job, Paul posted a follow-up video and added context to his story.

Paul said he composed a cover letter and uploaded his resume but "monumentally screwed up because I attached my STD results which I just received the same day."

"I have ADHD so I tend to multitask a lot so that's probably where everything just went wrong," he added.

"Thankfully all my tests were negative. I never heard back from the company I'm probably blacklisted somewhere, probably there's like an HR note being like 'DO NOT INTERACT.'"

Paul continued:

"I decided to share it because I wanted to destigmatize sexual testing and sexual health but also I saw that a lot of people were anxious about applying for jobs and typos on their cover letters."
"So I figured this is a good story so people feel less anxious over their own mistakes."

People noted it was the company's loss for not hiring him.
