Rapper and designer and rumored 2024 presidential candidate Ye, billionaire Elon Musk and former Republican President Donald Trump were dubbed "The Three Stooges" by social media users after House Judiciary Committee Republicans fired off a tweet listing off their names.

Earlier this week, the GOP House Judiciary Committee's official Twitter account—managed by Ohio Republican Representative Jim Jordan—posted:

Why Republicans posted the tweet is unclear but all three men have been in the news this week for different reasons.

Ye made headlines after backlash erupted when he and far-right commentator Candace Owens were photographed wearing "White Lives Matter" T-shirts during his Yeezy Season 9 show during Paris Fashion Week. The shirts are part of his line and several models of color were required to wear them during the show.

He later addressed it in an interview with Fox News personality Tucker Carlson saying he does "certain things from a feeling... using a gut instinct, connection with God and just brilliance."

Musk has been in the news because of his back-and-forth with Twitter, which he has decided to purchase after a much-publized attempt to back out of a deal to buy the company for the initially agreed upon price of $44 billion. Musk's feud with the technology company hurt Tesla stock as the market continues to digest the event.

Trump meanwhile is embroiled in an ongoing investigation into his theft of classified and top secret documents from the White House retrieved from his Mar-a-Lago estate in August. He recently petitioned the Supreme Court—which is stacked with conservatives he appointed—in an effort to prevent the Department of Justice (DOJ) from reviewing the confidential materials.

If House Judiciary Republicans thought their tweet would induce a wave of support from other Republicans—or anyone—they were sorely mistaken.

Many likened the three men to Larry, Moe, and Curly Joe—the titular Three Stooges—in addition to offering other criticisms.

Others criticized Republicans at large.

The House Judiciary Committee has not responded to criticisms about the tweet.

Former GOP Senator Gets Brutal Wakeup Call After Criticizing People For Playing 'Candy Crush' Instead Of 'Making Babies'

Ben Sasse represented Nebraska in the United States Senate from 2015 to 2023. As a Midwestern moderate, the sometimes controversial Sasse was often critical of MAGA Republican President Donald Trump on social media and on the Senate floor.

At one point, the Nebraska GOP censured him because of his criticism of Trump. But Sasse, like Maine Republican Senator Susan Collins, would still vote with the majority of his party when his vote was needed to back Trump's agenda.

White House's 'Two Kings' Photo Of Trump And King Charles Gets Ripped For Hypocrisy Using Trump's Own Words

The White House was reminded of what President Donald Trump claimed just days ago after sharing an image on social media of Trump and King Charles III and declaring them "two kings."

Charles addressed a joint meeting of Congress on Tuesday, becoming only the second British monarch to do so after his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, who spoke in 1991. His speech came as Trump has repeatedly criticized British Prime Minister Keir Starmer over Britain’s refusal to back the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran.
