Roger Stone Says God Convinced Trump To Pardon Him After He 'Got Right With The Lord'

Trump confidant and former official advisor Roger Stone told a Utah crowd his pardon from former Republican President Donald Trump was the result of divine intervention.

While campaigning for Utah Republican House candidate Jason Preston, Stone claimed God told Trump to pardon him back in 2020 for his felony convictions of witness tampering, obstructing an official proceeding and making false statements to Congress.

Stone said:

"I’m convinced to this day that God gave Donald Trump the strength and the courage to pardon me in an election year and free me from this vile political persecution."

In another one on one with the Lord, Stone said God told him:

"God came and told me [Utah Republican Senator Mitt Romney] needs to be removed from the U.S. Senate."

Oddly, Romney is one of the few Trump critics in the GOP.

Stone also referred to Utah Republican Senator Mike Lee as a "great American patriot" and Trump as the greatest President since Lincoln during the same rally.

Twitter seemed dubious of Stone's claims of divine intervention and personal conversations with God.

In 2020, Stone was sentenced to 40 months in prison for several felonies before being pardoned by Trump.
