Men Share The 'Girly' Habits They Enjoy Without Shame

Masculinity is a prison.

Gender in general is a prison. Men are told they can only enjoy certain things because some things aren't "manly" enough. Imagine depriving yourself of a massage or a pedicure for your masculinity's sake?

These men are taking the first step to realizing just how silly gendered activities are.

u/siverbern2000 asked:

Men of reddit what 'girly' habits do you enjoy?

Here were some of those answers.

My gf got me to join her for a pedicure once, I wear steel toe boots a lot. Sit in a massage chair? Yes please. Soak my feet in a little jacuzzi tub? Sure why not. Foot massage after a 8 hour work day in steels? Damn right I'm in.

I would happily go again.

Domestic

My girlfriend is a kick*ss, hardworking lawyer, and since my job is way less stressful and I get off work an hour earlier than her I like to come home, clean the place, make dinner, and gather the kiddos (a cat and two bunnies) to greet her when she gets home from work. It makes me so happy!

That's not a "girly" habit but I wondered if it fell within the umbrella.

Parfumerie

I've started to love scented candles over the last year. They just freshen up the smell of your home so much and make nestling down into a good book all the better! Noticed that my female friends houses often smelled nice. Decided to replicate!

Plushy Plushy Plushy

I have stuffed plush on my bed. Three of them. I'm 6-4 and have a beard and half covered in tattoos and work in a metal shop and I really enjoy laying in bed with my stuffed Triceratops sitting on my head as I watch Game of Thrones. I also really enjoy skipping but I would be far too embarrassed to actually do it in public.

Mmmmm, Feel The Smoothness

A solid moisturizing routine. Sh*t is bomb. I find my self just rubbing my face because it's so god damn smooth. 10/10 would recommend.

1: clean face in show with dove exfoliating soap. I let it sit for a minute, then wet my hands then scrub, but not too hard because then your face will get irritated.

2: after shave is a must. I don't shave daily, but more often than not I put aftershave in my face to calm down my irritable skin.

3: facial lotion. I use a brand called every man jack, which Can be bought at your local Kroger

I bless you all with smooth skin.

Fan-Service

For some reason I like watching the more feminine comics and tv shows, my SO teases me as she reads heroes and fantasy and I'm just here hoping this couple can stop blushing and being giggly and just f*cking kiss already.

Let's Gender Drinks

Girly drinks are super good. I don't want to have to shudder when Im drinking something because of bad tasting alcohol, and I'm not financially in a place to be buying $30+ bottles and handles. Believe me, I know how good straight, old rum can be.

So instead give me your dirty Shirley's and dump half the grenadine in my mouth straight.

This Is The Life

We just bought a condo with a soaking tub. You give me a bath bomb, some scented candles, a glass bottle of wine, and crank some Deep Forest on the speaker, and I'm happy as f*ck.

Deep Forest sampling for the uninformed, sh*t was kind of the new hotness for hippies in the 90s for like a month. Pretty chill and interesting stuff, give it a try.

This Is Why Masculinity Is A Prison

I like romance stuff a lot. Literally have watched probably every romance anime that exists. I get all excited when there's awkward and cute romantic moments and I enjoy the happiness. Obviously I don't tell anyone this. To be honest it's one of my deepest darkest secrets.

Bubble Bayaths

Bubble baths. I work in manual labor and I don't give a dang what someone says. When you bust your @ss all day long there's nothing better than sitting in a bubble bath with a beer in hand. Highly recommend. Even scented bubbles are awesome.

Products People Believed In Until They Realized They Were Bogus

Relentless advertisers inevitably get consumers to purchase goods regardless of how much they want them.

The goal is to make the customer happy, once the transaction is made, but that isn't always the case.

People Who Knew Celebrities Before They Were Big Explain What They Were Like

We all have to start somewhere, and that's even true for celebrities.

What's interesting is that the majority of people can go through life while continuing to be primarily the same person they were all along. But when it comes to celebrities, sometimes they totally change who they are when they find fame, or they fall short of the person we imagine them to be on-screen or on-stage.

AOC Perfectly Shames Trump Aide After He Insults Her During His Cringey Interview

During a Presidents' Day interview on right-wing network Newsmax, Republican President Donald Trump's border czar used a common MAGA insult to attack New York Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Tom Homan was Trump's acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) director from 2017-2018. Now the newly-annointed Trump administration "border czar," Homan has been attacking Representative Ocasio-Cortez—a.k.a. AOC—in multiple interviews.
