A 7-year-old has become a viral sensation after a video of her chugging wine at her First Communion was shared online.

Stefanie Heidebrink had no idea of what was to come when she started filming her daughter Brynley Heidebrink's First Communion on April 23.

After accepting the Body of Christ, Brynley took the chalice filled with consecrated wine representing the Blood of Christ and took a sip.

But the sip gradually turned to a drink until she tilted her head back for a full-on chug.

You can see a TikTok clip of the sacred ceremony taking an unexpected turn, here.

The innocent moment elicited chuckles from inside the church and eventually from the wide-eyed priest after he appeared to struggle between wanting to stop her from drinking and not interfering.

The young girl casually walked back to her seat as if nothing happened.

Heidebrink later told the Argus Leader of the conversation she had with her daughter afterward.

"I said, 'Well, why did you keep drinking?' And she's like, 'I don't know.' I'm like, 'Well, did you like the taste?' And she goes, 'No'."

Heidebrink blamed Brynley's emptying the cup on nerves.

When Brynley asked how much of the wine she should drink, Heidibrink told her to "Just let it touch your lips, just tip it back. You don't even have to take a sip."

Well, we know how that turned out.

Amused TikTokers continued finding the clip to be hysterical and they shared their observations.

"Next thing I know, I'm watching her just keep on going with the chalice," said Heidebrink, adding, "I was laughing and you can hear me in the video. I'm saying like, 'Oh my God. Stop drinking.'"

Brynley started being recognized at school after the clip of her rite of passage went viral.

She came home after school and told her parents one of her teachers had seen her on television.

Heidebrink set the record straight after there was speculation about what was in the cup.

"People were commenting that it was grape juice, but nope we use wine in the Catholic Church," she said.

The family celebrated with a spaghetti dinner at home following the ceremony. Despite feeling a bit of shyness from the church laughing at her for guzzling the communion wine, Heidebrink said Brynley remained in good spirits.

"She was pretty flushed at dinner, I will say that," said Heidebrink. "A little bit more talkative than normal, but she obviously ate her spaghetti and she slept really good that night."

Kids Can Press, the Canadian publisher behind the beloved Franklin children's books, condemned Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in a statement after he shared an AI-generated image of Franklin the Turtle to justify his attacks on alleged drug-smuggling vessels in the Caribbean.

Hegseth's original meme, which he inexplicably captioned "for your Christmas wish list," features a doctored book cover titled Franklin Targets Narco Terrorists and shows Franklin, the protagonist of the popular Canadian children's book series authored by Paulette Bourgeois and illustrated by Brenda Clark, firing a bazooka from a helicopter at boats in the water below.
