Gillian Anderson, who rose to fame as Dana Scully in The X-Files in the 90s, has become an icon in her own right since then.

Anderson now stars in the series Sex Education, as well as playing former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in the hit drama The Crown. Her work on both series have been widely praised. She seems to have only gotten better with age.

Which is why, when Anderson revealed that she no longer wears a bra, people absolutely held her in the highest esteem for admitting so.

"I'm so lazy. And I don't wear a bra anymore. I can't wear a bra. I can't, no. I can't," she explained.

"I'm sorry, but I don't care if … my breasts reach my belly button. I'm not wearing a bra anymore. It's just too f**king uncomfortable."

Anderson also said that she would wear black track pants and a hoodie every day if she could, to remain comfortable.

"[It's] probably the same as my go-to out-of-lockdown outfit...I'm so lazy."

Anderson represents the wants and wishes of many women around the world, who got used to no bra being a part of their lockdown outfit day to day for the better part of a year.

It's just another reason we'd all like to grow up to be Gillian Anderson.
