DEI programs are organizational strategies aimed at ensuring fair treatment and full participation for everyone, with a special focus on historically marginalized or discriminated groups. These frameworks strive to create an environment where all individuals, regardless of their identity or abilities, are valued and included.
Critics argue that DEI programs are discriminatory and try to address racial discrimination by disadvantaging other groups, particularly white Americans. However, supporters and industry experts maintain that DEI practices, which have been in place for decades, have been politicized and are often misunderstood.
Grand Theft Auto VI isn't even out yet but has nonetheless received a 10.0/10 rating, equivalent to "Ultra Woke"—for reasons that have not been divulged, though we guess it might have something to do with the very multicultural cast of characters featured within.

The game Life is Strange, now considered "Ultra Woke" under the site's ranking system, was previously rated as only "Slightly Woke" even though, one social media user observed, "it's literally a game about a time travelling lesbian and her blue haired punk girlfriend, that alone should give it the wokest rating possible.”

Of course, these criticisms of video games are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to conservatives' disdain for DEI.
Republicans, spurred by billionaires Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, who have been tasked to co-lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), are expected to recommend an agency-wide purge of funding of DEI programs.
DOGE doesn't actually exist outside of an X account and even once Trump is sworn it will lack any statutory authority, serving primarily as a presidential advisory commission, capable of making recommendations to Congress and the White House. However, there are signs that dismantling DEI-related initiatives will become a priority for empowered Republicans aiming to reduce government spending in Washington.
This effort may involve the elimination of entire DEI divisions within various government agencies, such as the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity, the Diversity & Inclusion division at the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Office of Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity Policy at the Department of Defense.
Unfortunately, catty social media users brushed aside her well-deserved achievement to focus instead on a viral clip that many interpreted as Moore snubbing Kylie Jenner at the event.
Fans and Moore's youngest daughter, Tallulah Willis, weren't letting the ruinous gossip take away from Moore's celebratory evening.
The viral clip, originally posted to the Golden Globes TikTok, showed Moore hugging actor Elle Fanning. Fanning was sitting at a table next to Jenner, who was accompanied by Jenner's date, actor Timothée Chalamet.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and owner of Kylie Cosmetics appeared to want to congratulate Moore but was only given a brief acknowledgment from Moore before she turned back to Fanning, who kept singing her praises.
Moore then passed behind Jenner to acknowledge Chalamet, as Jenner quietly looked on.
The newly minted Golden Globe winner continued making her rounds away from the table.

She explained of her mother's interaction with Fanning:
“We spent new year with Elle, so connecting with her after a win was a very organic thing to do."

After being nominated for two Critics' Choice Movie Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, two Independent Spirit Awards, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and four Golden Globe nominations, Moore winning the Globe was indeed cause for celebration.
Fans are making sure people focus on that instead of allowing the internet to exploit an awkward celebrity moment for the sake of unnecessary drama.
The award ultimately went to his Succession co-star Kieran Culkin for his role in the buddy comedy drama A Real Pain.
Nevertheless, Strong's hipster aesthetic remained a hot topic on the internet well after the Globes wrapped up another year of doling out accolades for accomplishments in film and TV.
So, where did Strong get his sartorial inspiration for the evening?
Fellow Hollywood star Anne Hathaway was on to something when she posted a comment on social media, playfully suggesting Strong looked through her film repertoire for some fashion guidance.
Hathaway wore a similar style hat, but in gray, for a scene from the 2001 coming-of-age drama The Princess Dairies, where she played Mia Thermopolis, the sole heir to the throne in the kingdom of Genovia.
The 42-year-old Academy Award winner posted juxtaposed images of her wearing the hat in Princess Diaries and Strong at the Globes.
She told Strong:
