In most of the country, spring has sprung. It's getting warmer, the sun is out longer, the birds are singing.

And then in these poor people's neck of the woods...it's literally Arendelle under Elsa's spell.

A home up by Lake Ontario was turned into an ice castle when strong winds and frozen temperatures created the perfect conditions that Elsa would be proud of.

"When I got here, I just couldn't believe that pretty much all the ice is now up in the front of the camp and along the sides of the camp," Jason Perry told WSTM-TV of Syracuse.

High water levels in Lake Ontario plus 70 mph winds are reportedly to blame for the icy caricatures of houses near Pulaski.

"When I first pulled in it was so windy, it was hard to get to the front of the camp, but at least the back side of the camp, I knew our camp was in trouble," said Maureen Whelan, the owner of the house.

"When that starts melting we're just very fearful that it's going to come and ruin the house."

Whelan says she was able to get in through a back door.

"When I got here, I just couldn't believe that pretty much all the ice is now up in the front of the camp and along the sides of the camp," said Jason Perry, a neighboring homeowner.

"I think we're all very anxious about it and sad because we know we're going to have damage for sure, so we're very sad about it."

It has been about a month since the house was frozen.

The last time this happened in 2017, the house miraculously suffered no damage, but there is every chance they have not been as lucky this time.

We blame climate change.

Or Elsa.
