Former Congresswoman Katie Hill (D-CA) resigned from Congress last month amidst accusations of an affair with a staffer and leaked nude photos published by The Daily Mail.

Hill said she reached the decision after threats from right-wing critics that more damaging leaks were still to come.

In a recent interview with CNN, Hill compared the recent bullying of career foreign service officials by supporters of President Donald Trump to the Right-wing threats that led to her resignation.

Watch below.

Hill opened up about the effects of their attacks:

"You're not seen as a person anymore, and the dehumanization is something that I think people can't really understand unless you've been there. That's exactly what the right-wing media does."

Trump and his allies repeatedly discouraged witnesses from testifying in the House Intelligence Committee's impeachment inquiries against him.

The White House has blocked testimony of numerous officials, spread conspiracy theories that decorated veteran Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman had dual loyalty because he was born in Ukraine and Trump himself even tweeted attacks on former Ukrainian Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch in the middle of her testimony.

Hill isn't the only one who's criticized Trump allies' bullying of witnesses.

Others have defended Hill as well.

Though she's no longer working at the Capitol, Hill vowed to remain politically active by fighting for women's rights and against revenge pornography.
