TikToker Finds Out Family's Flight To Costa Rica Is Canceled At Airport—And Route No Longer Exists

TikToker Finds Out Family's Flight To Costa Rica Is Canceled At Airport—And Route No Longer Exists

Customer grievances with airlines have become a terribly common issue since the pandemic, and these issues have had an increase in air time on the news and social media during recent weeks.

Most of the flights involved have been canceled, immensely delayed, or not refunded, but it's unusual for the flight to be treated as if it never existed.

But that was the feeling Raena—@imraena on TikTok—got when trying to board her flight from Toronto to Costa Rica.

Not only had her flight been canceled without her knowledge, but the airline would not be traveling via that route, or to that destination, anymore in the future, so for Air Canada's online system, it was as if the flight had never even existed.

Raena felt like she was "losing her marbles" while trying to get her family's flight sorted out, but Air Canada's employees did not refund the flight, assist them with arranging their flight with another airline, or give them vouchers of any kind for their extended stay.

Raena captioned her TikTok video:

"Air Canada did NOT tell us that they canceled our flights (OR REFUND US), and none of the employees here would help us."
"They just told us to call Customer Service and hope for the best."
"[I'm] losing my marbles."

To make the situation worse, Raena's replacement flight would not fly out for another 10 hours.

Raena said:

"We were supposed to be leaving for a flight in two hours that does not exist."
"We got a flight rebooked, but we're going to be here for the next 12 hours, so that's not fun."

Some fellow TikTokers were angry with the airline on Raena's behalf.

Others wondered if Raena brought this on herself by not checking the flight sooner.

But some shared they had the same experience with Air Canada, especially recently.

Another woman, Luray, recently detailed on TikTok her terrible trip home after flying with Delta Airlines in the United States.

Poor experiences with flights appear to be a worldwide problem right now, but with so many people chiming in within the comments section of Raena's video, it seems there is quite the "jet stream" of problems happening at Air Canada.

Michael Jackson Fans Called Out Over Their Deranged Reaction To Paris Jackson Talking About Her Late Dad

Paris Jackson is no stranger to public scrutiny—but this time, the backlash isn’t about her. It’s about fans of her late father, Michael Jackson, and the increasingly unhinged way they’re responding to her simply speaking about him.

It all started when Entertainment Tonight shared a red carpet interview from the Vanity Fair Vanities party, where Jackson was asked about the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic. The film stars her cousin, Jaafar Jackson, as the King of Pop, with Colman Domingo portraying family patriarch Joe Jackson.

Riley Gaines Ripped For Bonkers Attempt To Discredit Tim Walz After He Condemns Trump's Genocidal Threat To Iran

Former NCAA swimmer and current transphobic conservative darling Riley Gaines was criticized for a desperate attempt to discredit Minnesota Governor Tim Walz after he condemned President Donald Trump's genocidal threat to kill the "whole civilization" of Iran.

Trump has insisted that God supports his war on Iran and declared—before a provisional ceasefire was announced—that "a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again" ahead of a deadline to bomb Iran’s power plants and bridges that legal scholars and world leaders have said would constitute war crimes.
