TikToker @brielleybelly123 shared an emotional video about having no 'time or energy' to do anything after working her first 9-5 job out of college—and it sparked a debate about the outdated 40-hour work week.

A woman on TikTok has gone viral after breaking down in tears upon realizing what life is like working a 9 to 5 job.

TikToker @brielleybelly123 shared an emotional video about her experience with her first job out of college, and honestly, we get it.

The creator started:

“I know I’m probably just being so dramatic and annoying, but this is my first job, like, my first 9-5 job after college.”
“I’m in-person and I’m commuting in the city and it takes me f**king forever to get there.”

She discussed her frustration over her commute as well as her exhaustion at the end of the day, noting she gets on the train around 7:30 each morning and doesn't get home until after 6:00 in the evening.

“I don’t have time to do anything. I want to shower, eat my dinner, go to sleep — I don’t have time or energy to cook my dinner either.”
"I don't have energy to work out. Like, that's out the window."

The TikToker also clarified that her exasperation has nothing to do with the job itself, it's just the logistics of not having "time for anything."

Although the TikToker acknowledged in the video that maybe she was "being so dramatic," viewers felt she was completely validated in feeling so deflated, with many noting that a 40-hour work week is far outdated and wildly demanding.

Space Force Commander Fired Over Email Criticizing Vance's Greenland Comments

Vice President J.D. Vance and the wider Trump administration are facing criticism now that Colonel Susan Meyers was removed from her post as commander at Greenland's Pituffik Space Base after breaking with Vance in an email she wrote following his controversial visit to the island territory.

Greenland is an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark, alongside the Faroe Islands, the only other autonomous territory within the Kingdom. Citizens of both Greenland and the Faroe Islands are full citizens of Denmark. As one of the Overseas Countries and Territories of the European Union, Greenland’s citizens are also recognized as EU citizens.
