Dominic Fike, an actor on the hit show Euphoria, is in hot water for his comments about Amber Heard and domestic violence.

And no one seems to be on his side.

While performing at a show at Northwestern University on May 21, Fike made a comment about Heard, referencing accusations in her current defamation trial.

Fike said:

“Yo, so I'm just gonna come straight out and say it. Actually, I think Amber Heard is hot, dude.”

He then went on to describe her beating him up—a reference to accusations of abuse about Heard—as “hot.”

Fike acknowledged it wasn’t a “popular opinion.”

However it seemed he didn’t think about how unpopular it would be. Fans booed him onstage after he said it.

Since then, many expressed comments of disbelief. On one hand, they cannot believe someone would make such a crude remark out of a high profile case involving domestic violence.

The allegations against Heard involve domestic abuse—not a consensual sado-masochistic relationship.

The latest allegations about Heard stem from a defamation lawsuit actor Johnny Depp filed against Heard after her 2018 OpEd about domestic abuse. Though Depp wasn’t named in the piece, he’s suing for $50 million due to the damage to his career.

Heard is countersuing for $100 million.

During the trial, both sides have stated they were the victims of abuse at the hands of the other.

It is into these muddy waters Fike decided to wade—especially bad idea considering he effectively made light of domestic violence.

Social media users accused Fike of trying to be edging to be relevant, but advertising ignorance instead.

Fike has not stated why he made the comment out of nowhere, but fans aren’t having it.

This caused additional backlash when it was announced Fike was dating co-star Hunter Schafer.

While people speculated before it was announced, the news about Fike’s comments have put a damper on fan response.

Kristi Noem's Purse Was Stolen At A D.C. Restaurant—And Everyone's Thinking The Same Thing

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was widely mocked after a man reportedly stole her purse, which contained her government ID, passport, medication, and around $3,000 in cash, on Easter Sunday as she enjoyed a meal with her family—all while she was being protected by the Secret Service.

The Secret Service reviewed surveillance footage from Capital Burger and saw an unidentified white male in a medical mask steal Noem’s bag and exit the restaurant, a law enforcement source said. An investigation is now underway to track any attempted use of her financial accounts.
