Even Fox News Host Called Out 'Petty' Acting Speaker For Kicking Pelosi Out Of Her Office

Harris Faulkner took Patrick McHenry and his fellow MAGA Republicans to task for kicking Rep. Nancy Pelosi out of her private office while she was in California to memorialize late Sen. Dianne Feinstein.

Fox News host Harris Faulkner took North Carolina Republican Representative Patrick McHenry and his fellow MAGA Republicans to task for kicking Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi out of her office while she was in California to memorialize late Senator Dianne Feinstein.

During a conversation with Arizona Republican Representative Andy Biggs, Faulkner was critical of McHenry for not communicating "what the vote [to oust McCarthy] was going to look like." She then focused on McHenry's decision to evict Pelosi from her office.

She said:

"One of the things he did comes across as rather petty. Rather than waiting for Nancy Pelosi or somebody to come back, he takes her office while she is memorializing Dianne Feinstein."
"Are you all talking? Because that's not who you are."

You can hear what she said in the video below.

Many were also critical of McHenry and the actions of his GOP colleagues.

Pelosi herself took McHenry to task for ordering her to vacate her office in the Capitol shortly after the leadership change in the chamber.

An email, purportedly from the House Administration Committee to Pelosi's staff, was reportedly viewed by NBC News. The email instructed Pelosi's team to vacate the space, which is controlled by the Speaker's office, by the following day, stating that the Speaker pro tempore would reassign the room for Speaker office use.

Pelosi emphasized that this eviction "is a sharp departure from tradition," adding:

“As Speaker, I gave former Speaker [Dennis] Hastert a significantly larger suite of offices for as long as he wished. Office space doesn’t matter to me, but it seems to be important to them."

McHenry became interim Speaker after McCarthy's ouster made him the first Speaker of the House of Representatives to ever be removed from the role during a legislative session.

Gaetz, who initiated the "motion to vacate" leading to McCarthy's removal, acknowledged the possibility of an outsider campaign for the speakership. He expressed willingness to support current members of Congress for the role but did not rule out considering individuals outside the body, since the U.S. Constitution does not require the Speaker to be a sitting member of Congress.

Former President Donald Trump is among those being recruited by some GOP members.
