A supportive father came up with a solution to his gay son's financial woes in a hilarious text thread by suggesting he find a sugar daddy.

In dating parlance, a sugar daddy is a wealthy older man who seeks to date a younger man or woman so he can financially support them and spoil them. Conversely, a sugar baby is someone who looks for an older man to be in a relationship with who will willingly take care of them.

According to the Sugar Daddy website, sugar dating "is not about sex work" and is about "starting a mutually beneficial relationship."

Twitter user Andrew Palmer shared a screenshot of the conversation he had with his father on Twitter, and joked that "coming out to my dad last year was a mistake.”

Palmer reached out to his dad and wrote:

“I think I’m getting a new apartment so I’m gonna be a little broke."

To which his father replied:

“I thought you told me there was this thing called daddys up there that can help with financial stuff.”

Aww, dad...

Twitter users giggled in delight over the father's adorable response.

While many users appreciated the dad for mentioning a familiar resource available for his gay son, many expressed gratitude for strong family relationships.

The jury is out on whether or not the dad was being facetious or totally naive.

But at least we can tell with absolute certainty that this daddy is accepting and loving of his cash-strapped sugar baby.

American YouTuber Arrested After Sneaking Onto Remote Island And Leaving Diet Coke For Uncontacted Tribe

24-year-old YouTuber Mykhailo Viktorovych Polyakov was arrested after making contact with one of the world's last uncontacted tribes, making the perilous and ill-advised journey to North Sentinel Island and leaving a coconut and a can of Diet Coke on the beach as a gift to the Sentinelese.

Polyakov, 24, arrived at the northeastern shore of North Sentinel Island at 10 a.m. on March 29, according to police reports. He used binoculars to survey the land but saw no one. He then climbed ashore, leaving behind a Diet Coke and a coconut, took sand samples, and recorded a video, the authorities said.
