Mendes shoved husband Ryan Gosling's Academy Award nomination in the haters' faces by sharing a Rolling Stone headline calling Gosling 'cringe' for taking on the role of Ken in 'Barbie.'

Eva Mendes is celebrating husband Ryan Gosling's Oscar nomination by shoving it in his critics' faces.

Mendes took to Instagram to call out all the "hate" her partner received when he took on the role of Ken in Greta Gerwig's Barbie, you know, the film that grossed more than a billion at the box office last year.

She wrote:

"So proud of my man."
"So much hate when he took on this role. So many people trying to shame him for doing it."
"Despite all the #Notmyken ridicule and articles written about him, he created this completely original, hilarious, heartbreaking, now iconic character and took it all the way to Oscars."
"So beyond proud to be this Ken’s Barbie 💕"

Mendes included excerpts from a Rolling Stone article titled "Sorry to Be the One to Say It, but Ryan Gosling Is Giving Major Cringe as Ken in ‘Barbie.'"

One highlighted part of the article read:

"But on Wednesday, Warner Brothers released the first look at Ryan Gosling as Ken. And it's giving full camp, full cringe."

Another said:

"... we're already lining up therapy appointments for the nightmares this is sure to give us."

And one likened Gosling to "one of those creepy, older West Hollywood men who still think they're in their 20s."

You can see the post below.

People on social media applauded Mendes for calling out the "haters" and agreed Gosling more than did the role justice.

Even Gosling's costar America Ferrera, who was also nominated for an Oscar, chimed in.

She commented:

"👏👏👏 He is brilliant as Ken! Pulled off a triple somersault performance!"
"We’re so lucky it was him and I’m so grateful for the way he showed up with his super stardom, and continues to show up to support all the women in this process!!"
"He is a class act and insanely deserving and talented."

Barbie was nominated for eight Oscars in total, including Best Picture. Gosling was nominated for Best Supporting Actor and Ferrera for Best Supporting Actress. Others included nominations for adapted screenplay, two for original song and both costume and production design.

And while Margot Robbie and Gerwig both have a chance to win an Oscar, fans were outraged that they weren't nominated for Best Actress and Best Director, respectively.

Ferrera and Gosling both released statements following their nominations, sharing both their excitement over their nods as well as their disappointment in the snubs.

Ferrera told Variety:

“I was incredibly disappointed that they weren’t nominated. Greta has done just about everything that a director could do to deserve it."
"What Margot achieved as an actress is truly unbelievable. One of the things about Margot as an actress is how easy she makes everything look.”

In a statement shared with PEOPLE, Ryan Gosling echoed Ferrera's dismay.

"There is no Ken without Barbie, and there is no 'Barbie' movie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, the two people most responsible for this history-making, globally-celebrated film."
"No recognition would be possible for anyone on the film without their talent, grit and genius."

Very true. But we agree with Eva that Gosling totally deserves that nomination!

Anti-Trump Stickers Keep Getting Spotted On Gas Pumps—And They're Absolutely Brutal

MAGA Republican President Donald Trump's decision to join Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in attacking the country of Iran directly caused gas prices in the United States to soar and even Trump's MAGA minions aren't happy about it.

Many who are turning their back on Trump have cited the POTUS's negative impact on their cost of living and the influence Netanyahu, himself under investigation by his own country for corruption, has over the Trump administration.

Trump's AG Sets Off A Firestorm With Claim That Americans 'Want Their Tax Dollars Spent On' Trump's $1.8 Billion Slush Fund

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche is facing heavy criticism after claiming that Americans "want their tax dollars spent on things like" President Trump's $1.8 billion slush fund that may go to his allies and those who participated in the January 6 insurrection.

The Justice Department said last week it was creating the fund as part of a deal in which Trump agreed to drop his $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS. But despite a press release, memo, and a newly-released settlement agreement, many details about the program remain unclear.
