Elon Musk's Trans Daughter Slams Her Dad After Filing To Legally Change Her Name And Gender

With all the money in the world, Elon Musk–whose estimated net worth as of June 2022 is around $203 billion–could not afford him affection from his trans daughter who just legally changed her full name.

The Tesla CEO's child changed her name to Vivian Jenna Wilson after filing paperwork with the Los Angeles County court, according to TMZ.

In addition to dropping the infamous surname, the 18-year-old legally declared her gender identity to be recognized as female.

She cited the reason for filing the paperwork was not only to declare her gender identity but also because of:

“...the fact that I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.”

The media outlet noted:

"Neither Elon or Vivian has previously said anything publicly about their relationship or her transition."

Despite Musk's purported advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights, the affluent business magnate had previously grumbled about preferred gender pronouns and mocked their usage on social media back in December 2020.

He tweeted:

"All these pronouns are an esthetic nightmare."

That same year, Musk appeared to take aim at nonbinary and trans people on Twitter by declaring on the platform that "pronouns suck."

At the time, Canadian musician Grimes–who with Musk had two children–pleaded with him to stop.

“I love you but please turn off ur phone or give me a dall [sic]," she told him in a deleted tweet. " I cannot support hate. Please stop this. I know this isn’t your heart.”

The pair have since separated.

The specifics of Vivian's estrangement with her father are unclear.

But Twitter shared their hunches.

Jezebel’s Kylie Cheung believed Vivian's latest decision may have been prompted by Musk's planned buyout of Twitter "for the purpose of platforming the kind of far-right trolls who don’t believe his trans daughter should have a right to exist."

Cheung explored Musk's intentions with acquiring Twitter:

"Musk has frequently cited a reverence for 'free speech' as the reason for his interest in Twitter, despite the obvious reality that the 50-year-old’s latest obsession is very much rooted in some sort of sad mid-life crisis."
"But his promise to foster freer speech on the platform is more than a little concerning, nonetheless: To Very Online, libertarian provocateurs such as Musk, 'free speech' often refers to unchecked harassment of women, LGBTQ people, and people of color, and trolls debating their human rights to feel smart."

Cheung added Tesla was facing multiple lawsuits alleging the factory created a toxic workplace based on racist and sexist abuse, assault and discrimination “reminiscent of Jim Crow,” against their employees.

Vivian's hearing for her name change is set for Friday, according to TMZ.
