Trump Rails Against Media For Not Covering His Two Nobel Peace Prizes That He Didn't Actually Win

Trump Rails Against Media For Not Covering His Two Nobel Peace Prizes That He Didn't Actually Win

President Donald Trump's quixotic pursuit of a Nobel Peace Prize once again took center stage at a campaign rally this weekend in the swing state of Pennsylvania.

The President is one of the 318 nominees for the prize this year—his second nomination—but at the rally, he bizarrely seemed to say that he'd already won. Twice.

Watch below.

The President said:

"Somebody had a show where they said the amount of time devoted to Donald Trump's Nobel Peace Prize — two of 'em — [was] zero on the networks, zero. It is so disgraceful. They're so bad."

As HuffPost points out, Trump has been corrected by FactCheck.org for repeatedly confusing a Nobel Prize win with a Nobel Prize nomination, which anyone meeting the nominator requirements can submit.

Trump did specifically say it was a nomination during an anecdote about him and First Lady Melania Trump, in which the couple was disappointed because news networks were covering Hurricane Sally instead of the nomination.

People mocked Trump for the petty and misleading rant.

Trump's yearning for a Nobel Prize is seen by some as a remnant of his animosity toward former President Barack Obama, who won the prize in 2009 and whose work the Trump administration has fought to undo.

Trump critics pointed out this purported inferiority complex.

Trump was nominated for the prize by Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a far-right member of Norway's Parliament.

Gavin Newsom Hilariously Dunks On Trump For Hosting The Kennedy Center Honors

California Governor Gavin Newsom trolled President Donald Trump by sharing an AI-generated photo of himself accepting the inaugural—and not real—"Kennedy Center peace prize" from Trump.

The photo accompanied a post in which Newsom mocked not just Trump but also Ric Grenell, the Kennedy Center's president, whom Newsom referred to as a "janitor" in a post that—like many of Newsom's past posts—is written in a style not unlike the rants Trump publishes on Truth Social.

Trump Completely Melts Down Over 'Low IQ Traitor' MTG's Sit-Down Interview With '60 Minutes'

Greene told CBS that his inflammatory language “directly fueled” threats against her family, including an email asserting that a pipe bomb had been planted targeting her son.

Matthew Lillard Shares Heartbreaking Reaction After Quentin Tarantino Criticizes His Acting

Actor Matthew Lillard has built a career out of playing the chaotic, the heartfelt, and the unexpectedly unforgettable, from Scream to The Descendants to She’s All That and even James Gunn’s early live-action Scooby-Doo movies.

And yet, none of it has managed to charm Quentin Tarantino, who recently announced that he does not care for Lillard’s acting. Or, apparently, for Lillard at all. During an appearance on The Bret Easton Ellis Podcast, Tarantino casually tossed Lillard onto a list of actors he thinks miss the mark.
