He hasn't seen the memo, but is convinced the allegedly "alarming" information needs to be released.

The secret four-page memo describing abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) within the DOJ and the FBI is alleged to contain information that could halt Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Donald Trump Jr. joined the rallying chorus of Republicans demanding for its release to the public.

"I don't know what's in it, but if all of these guys are saying people's heads are going to roll, people may get fired and people may actually go to jail, I think the American people deserve to know," Trump Jr. told Tucker Carlson on Friday about the "troubling" memo.

Trump Jr. tore into the DNC saying Democrats and the mainstream media are not interested in the contents of the memo because they are feigning ignorance to the truth.

They both went so all-in with this contrived Russia thing ... that they needed it to be true. Now it turns out to all be nonsense, and it turns out it was [the DNC] and the prior administration doing some pretty shady stuff, I mean, that is earth-shattering, that is disgusting, and the American people should be really upset about it.

He took to Twitter and predicted that "Democrats will take an even stronger stance on shutting down the govt so that becomes the narrative rather than talking about the release of the apparently very damaging memo."

According to CNBC, Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla. said that the information in the top-secret memo was "jaw-dropping and demand full transparency."

The response inside Congress and on social media sparked the #releasethememo initiative while Republican Congress members were shocked at the information they've found.

Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., demanded full transparency was in order. "I am shocked to read exactly what has taken place. I would think that it would never happen in a country that loves democracy and freedom," he said on Thursday.

The Huffington Post pointed out, however, that the damning report on FISA was penned by Republicans in the House Intelligence Committee. The Post explained:

That committee voted along partisan lines this week to allow any member of Congress to take a peek at the document themselves. Republican members soon flocked to a secure room to read the memo written by their allies — and then ran to tell the press about it."

Democratic Representative Adam Schiff, however, dismissed the report as "a profoundly misleading set of talking points" and "rife with factual inaccuracies."

Although Trump Jr. has not taken a peek at the document, he ardently believes that the "alarming" information still needs to be released.

"I don't know what's in it, but if all of these guys are saying people's heads are going to roll, people may get fired and people may actually go to jail, I think the American people deserve to know," he told Carlson.

But Twitter is tuning him out.

American journalist Glenn Greenwald, known for his work published by The Guardian, also weighed in.
