If you needed a new item for your list of things you do not need to know Donald Trump Jr.'s opinion on, you're in luck: He's now weighed in on Britney Spears' conservatorship. And as usual, it's gone very poorly for him.

Because not only did former Republican President Donald Trump's son give his totally un-asked for opinion, but he also used Spears' situation as an analogy for Democrats' supposed tyranny.

As usual, Trump Jr. shared his unnecessary two cents on the platform his father is banned from, Twitter.

You can see the tweet below.

In the tweet, Trump Jr. compared Britney Spears' legal issues, which include being forcibly put on birth control, to Democratic governors asking their citizens to wear masks during a pandemic. And while doing it, he spelled Spears' name wrong.

He called her "Brittany" Spears.

Giphy

This just might be in the running for worst tweet idea of all time.

The tweet comes on the heels of a recent court hearing in which Spears requested a judge end the conservatorship she has been under for the past 13 years, which placed her father, Jamie Spears, in charge of nearly every aspect of her life.

Leaked recordings of Britney Spears' testimony to the judge offer a truly harrowing picture of her situation under the conservatorship. The 39-year-old mother of two claims she has no control over her schedule, finances or career and that she is not allowed to marry.

She also said she would like to have another child but cannot because she has an IUD that was implanted against her will and which she is not allowed to remove. Legal experts and media commentators have compared this situation to sex trafficking.

If that sounds absolutely noting like anything Democratic governors have subjected their citizens to during the pandemic, you're not alone--people on Twitter absolutely dragged Trump Jr. for his bizarre false equivalency.

Perhaps Trump Jr. took Twitter's critiques to heart--he's since moved on to tweeting conspiracy theories about the New York City mayoral primary.

GOP Rep. Ousted From Chairmanship By Trump Calls Out Colleagues For Russian Propaganda In Resurfaced Clip

Speaking to anchor Jake Tapper on CNN last April, Ohio Republican Mike Turner said that Russian propaganda had "infected" the GOP in a clip that has resurfaced after President-elect Donald Trump had him ousted as House Intelligence Committee chair.

At the time, Turner made it clear that his fellow Republicans were parroting Russian propaganda about the war in Ukraine and its relationship with NATO members. That claim came after House Foreign Affairs Committee chair Michael McCaul, who said he thinks "Russian propaganda has made its way into the United States, unfortunately, and it’s infected a good chunk of my party’s base."
