The Biden administration continues to evacuate Americans from Afghanistan after the Taliban retook the region at a breakneck speed following the withdrawal of American troops.

The White House has faced widespread criticism for the chaos of the withdrawal—chaos that only escalated after the Taliban overtook the presidential palace in Kabul, leading thousands of Afghan allies to the Kabul International Airport in a frenzied effort to escape the country.

Former President Donald Trump, who freed around five thousand Taliban prisoners during his time in office, leapt to slam the Biden administration.

In his latest statement criticizing the withdrawal, the former President warned the withdrawal could be "another Dunkirk situation!"

Trump was alluding to the 1940 evacuation of Allied troops in Dunkirk, France during World War II.

The result of miscalculations and misfortunes, advancing Nazis cornered hundreds of thousands of Allied troops in the small French commune, with precious little time for the Allies to evacuate. Under constant attacks, civilians with "little ships" capable of navigating the shallow shore managed to rescue nearly 400 thousand troops in just a few days. The audacious rescue mission is credited today as one of the defining events of the Second World War.

To this day, "Dunkirk Spirit" is a British term used to describe the principle of unity and bravery in the strength of adversity.

Trump didn't seem to grasp this.

Some could think of reasons Trump would consider Dunkirk a failure.

Biden has sent additional troops to Afghanistan to assist in evacuations, and has said they won't leave until all Americans are out.

GOP Senator Gets Blunt Reality Check After Comparing Trump Tariff 'Pain' To Home Renovation

Montana Republican Senator Tim Sheehy was criticized after he tried to compare the "short-term pain" of President Donald Trump's tariffs to home renovation, a claim so ridiculous that CNN's Kaitlan Collins quickly pushed back on the analogy.

Trump has repeatedly referred to April 2 as “Liberation Day,” pledging to impose tariffs—taxes on imports—to reduce U.S. reliance on foreign goods. He has framed these tariffs as “reciprocal,” aiming to match the duties other nations place on American exports.

Liberal Wisconsin Judge Calls Out Elon Musk In Victory Speech—And It's Everything

Liberal judge Susan Crawford called out billionaire Elon Musk in her victory speech after winning a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, basking in successfully beating her Republican opponent Brad Schimel and ensuring that the nonpartisan court’s narrow 4-3 liberal majority remains intact despite Musk's efforts to sway the race.

Musk fueled the high-stakes race, having poured more than $20 million into supporting Schimel, according to state campaign records. That includes $3 million to the state Republican Party—$2 million of which was donated just last week. Due to state election laws, large contributions must be funneled through political parties before reaching candidates.
