A NYC Billboard For Videogame 'Diablo IV' Basically Predicted The Wildfire Smoke

A photo of the billboard proclaiming 'welcome to hell, New York' amid an orange, smoke-filled sky felt eerily spot on.

A New York City billboard for the new Diablo IV from Blizzard Entertainment has New Yorkers doing a double-take.

The ad for the newly released video game features a diablo-esque creature with accompanying text that reads:

"Welcome to hell, New York."

And the ominous orange smog backdrop resulting from raging Canada wildfires makes the ad eerily accurate.

You can see one view of the billboard here:

New York Basketball shared the image on Twitter.

The seemingly spot-on prophecy has residents shaking in their boots.

But people on social media all agree the billboard's not lying.

More than 400 wildfires originating across Canada—with an estimated 150 in Quebec alone—have resulted in New York's worst air quality since the 1960s and mass evacuations in Canada.

Stay safe out there!

Polyakov, 24, arrived at the northeastern shore of North Sentinel Island at 10 a.m. on March 29, according to police reports. He used binoculars to survey the land but saw no one. He then climbed ashore, leaving behind a Diet Coke and a coconut, took sand samples, and recorded a video, the authorities said.
