'Deadpool & Wolverine' Just Did A Hilariously 'Cheeky' Promo During 'The Bachelorette'—And It's Everything

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman courted Bachelor Nation to see their upcoming Marvel flick—and they used one of Jackman's most powerful assets.

Reality TV and superheroes collided in a new mashup promo for ABC's The Bachelorette featuring Deadpool & Wolverine ahead of the duo's eponymous movie release, and we're dead.

In the Disney crossover promo, Hugh Jackman's Wolverine is lying seductively on the couch, per his buddy's instructions, as romantic music plays.

"I can't do this," he groans, weary of participating in the ridiculous ruse, and tries to abandon the scene only to be thwarted by Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, who tries to convince him they were doing this to explain to "Bachelor Nation" why their movie was the "perfect date movie," all while Wolverine holds a single rose stem.

"Ohh, I love the smell of sunflowers," remarks Deadpool.

"I'm not doing either of those," Wolverine grumbles, to which Deadpool flatters the X-Men mutant by telling him he is a "confident, powerful person" and that he should carry on because the 18 to 49-year-old women are an important demographic for them to target for the movie ad.

After repeatedly failing to persuade Wolverine, Deadpool takes it upon himself and tells Bachelorette fans their movie has "everything you love," while he motions for the camera to zoom in on exhibit A—one of Wolverine's most impressive physical features.

Hint: it does not include anything above the waistline.

Yup. Deadpool just pimped out his buddy for the greater good of their movie.

Here's the dual promo for season 21 of The Bachelorette, which premiered Monday, and Deadpool & Wolverine, which hits theaters on July 26.

Fans loved the irreverent brand of humor Deadpool continues to bring while clashing with the curmudgeonly Wolverine.

Fans continued to praise the ad for its cheeky brilliance.

Off camera, of course, Reynolds and Jackman are as tight as their form-fitting spandex suits.

Jackman spoke highly of working with Reynolds on Deadpool & Wolverine, calling the film his favorite experience playing his iconic character. Concluding with 2017's Logan, the 55-year-old has played the X-Men character in nine different films.

"The experience of making [Deadpool & Wolverine] was also one of the greatest of my career, and I've been playing Wolverine for 25 years," said Jackman at a fan event in Shanghai.

He continued:

"This experience exceeded anything I've done before as this character—and in many other movies, in anything. I loved it. And I think it shows on the screen."
"You can feel the warmth. The movie has a warmth to it, and it's funny, and it's irreverent, and the action is crazy. But I think you can feel the friendship."

Reynolds also gushed about working with Jackman and director Shawn Levy, who was instrumental in bringing the two characters together in the MCU.

"These are my closest friends," Reynolds said of his lovefest with Jackman and Levy, adding:

"So to make a movie together, and to have the experience be something that is easily the best experience of my entire life and incredibly profound."
"But then for the film to exceed that experience, and be even more special and more emotional than anything that I've ever been a part of and funnier because it's so emotional, it allows so much of that funny to come out in interesting ways."

Get a room already, guys!

The tomfoolery of the latest promo is surely a teaser of more shenanigans to come in Deadpool & Wolverine, the sequel to the MCU films Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018).

College Announcer Apologizes After Sparking Outrage With Body-Shaming Comment About Plus-Size Dance Team

In the United States, there are 107 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs)—schools founded when segregation laws and racist policies kept Black men and women from higher education. The schools developed their own unique culture and customs around stepping, marching band, drum majors, and majorettes.

HBCU majorettes march with the band, dance, and have stand battles during games. The dance style and moves are unique to Black culture, but have spread beyond the HBCUs to high schools and dance schools across the country.
