Dallas Cowboys Kicker Pens Sweet Apology Note After Football Nailed Cheerleader In The Head

Cowboys cheerleader Michelle Siemienowski shared an apology note she received from kicker Brandon Aubrey after he kicked a ball that sailed out of bounds and right into the back of her head.

Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Michelle Siemienowski was knocked down after getting walloped in the head when kicker Brandon Aubrey kicked the ball out of bounds toward where she cheered on the sidelines.

The incident happened at Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders after a second-quarter kickoff.


Siemienowski didn't suffer serious injury from the impact and remained in good spirits, especially after Aubrey sent a handwritten note apologizing for his part in the ball's unfortunate trajectory.

“Michelle, so sorry about hitting you on KO! Hope you are doing well!," Aubrey wrote, as shared by Siemienowski's Instagram story.

Aubrey said of the squad:

"Love watching y’all."

Here is a clip shared by Fox Sports: NFL, who wrote, "Shoutout to this #DallasCowboys Cheerleader for taking the hit like a champ," followed by a flexed bicep emoji."

Although it wasn't exactly where Siemienowski was smacked, the internet was reminded of this famous scene from The Brady Bunch.

Later footage in the clip showed the cheerleader recovering from the clobbering with a smile, albeit with tears in her eyes.

According to the Huffington Post, Siemienowski was checked and cleared by a doctor who stated she was “doing fine.”

After being flooded with messages of concern, she expressed gratitude for the fans "for checking in and for your kind words!"

"I am all okay, so no need to worry," she wrote in a text overlay of Aubrey's apology note.

She thanked him for penning the message and added that Aubrey tried to locate her after the incident to personally apologize but was unable to due to her "moving around the field."

“He was so kind to write me a note anyways,” Siemienowski added.

“No hard feelings here! And now I have a souvenir for my last game of my rookie season!”

Rom-com lovers were hopeful for a Kismet moment, but alas, it's a no-go as Aubrey is taken.
