Donald Trump is brutally featured on New York's "hometown newspaper" for its Friday cover and is causing such a splash.

The New York Daily News called the president a "Pee Brain!" after former FBI director James Comey revealed to ABC News he was instructed to investigate the alleged existence of the president's "pee tape."

The front page of the paper jabbed Trump with its derisive moniker and had yellow splashes denoting bullet points indicating the president is "Obsessed with alleged wee-wee vid" and "Wanted FBI to prove tawdry tape was a lie."

The salacious headline references an anecdote from Comey's upcoming memoir, A High Loyalty: Truth, Lies & Leadership, in which Donald Trump denied allegations of the golden shower that was mentioned in the explosive Steele dossier.

The urinating claim appeared in Former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele's dossier of unverified opposition research which alleged Trump was filmed watching prostitutes urinating on each other on a bed once slept in by Barack Obama at a Ritz-Carlton hotel in Moscow.

In the chief's new book scheduled for a Tuesday release, Trump asked to discredit the existence of the "pee tape" to appease Melania.

He brought up what he called the 'golden showers thing' . . . adding that it bothered him if there was 'even a 1 percent chance' his wife, Melania, thought it was true....In what kind of marriage, to what kind of man, does a spouse conclude there is only a 99 percent chance her husband didn't do that?

Trump repeatedly told Comey there was no tape of the golden shower incident. "I'm a germaphobe" Trump said over a phone conversation prior to his inauguration.

There's no way I would let people pee on each other around me. No way.

According to the Washington Post, excerpts from the book included Comey recalling Trump's denial and obsession with the allegation:

He just rolled on, unprompted, explaining why it couldn't possibly be true, ending by saying he was thinking of asking me to investigate the allegation to prove it was a lie. I said it was up to him.

In another excerpt, the conversation segued from prostitutes to sexual harassment.

Asking — rhetorically, I assumed — whether he seemed like a guy who needed the service of prostitutes. He then began discussing cases where women had accused him of sexual assault, a subject I had not raised. He mentioned a number of women, and seemed to have memorized their allegations.

Twitter got a kick out of The Daily News' splashiest cover yet.

Beaten DC Cop Coughs NSFW Message At MAGA Rep. For Blaming Jan. 6 On Capitol Leadership

Michael Fanone—who worked for the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department for 20 years until he sustained serious and life-threatening injuries during the January 6 insurrection—didn't take kindly to Texas Republican Representative Troy Nehls trying to blame the attack on the "U.S. Capitol leadership team" instead of President Donald Trump.

Nehls spoke during a hearing where Jack Smith, the former special prosecutor who led two failed prosecutions against Trump for inciting the insurrection, defended the integrity of his investigation.
