In a viral TikTok video, a dad caught his son putting on makeup.

His reaction is heartwarming and inspiring.

The text on screen said:

"Dad catches his son with makeup on..."

At first, we see a boy with makeup and false nails on. He quickly looks to the camera with a knowing look of "I've been caught."

Quickly he turns off the lights to not be seen, but it's too late.

You can see in his face he's nervous. But as they exchange a few words to each other in Spanish, you can hear in the father's tone he's not angry.

The text on the screen read:

"I was SOOO embarrassed!!!"

His dad saw the lights had been turned off and he asked what happened, like something was wrong.

The son tried to explain he was making a video for YouTube, which was his first video he ever made putting on makeup.

The lights flash back on and we see dad's hand reach out to touch his son's shoulder.

The dad said to his son in Spanish, using the nickname Papa:

"Is this what you want to do, Papa?"
"Because if this is what you want to do, you'll be okay. I'll be okay with you."
"I love you, Papa. I love you. If that makes you happy, do it."
"Do it, but do it good. OK, Papa."
"I'm always with you."
"I won't let you down in anything. Be happy."

The video posted by @im.mr.petty has gotten over 10.9 million views and 2.3 million likes.

Nxnnii Diorr is on TikTok and YouTube.

He posted his video to TikTok but it didn't get the same amount of traction originally.

Since then, Diorr has posted a followup video where he explained coming out to various family members, their reactions to him being gay and the story of his father catching him.

Diorr explained:

"He was like, 'Turn on the lights.'"
"And I was hella shy, dude, I was so shy."
"So I turned around and started laughing because I was nervous."
"And he was like, 'I'm gonna tell you something.'"

Diorr instantly thought he was going to be in trouble.

He said he wanted to cry when the video was posted because he can't post anything with his dad since he's been deported.

Diorr explained:

"Two or Three months after I posted that video, he went to jail because the police got him and he didn't have no papers, no license."
"He went to jail and then they deported him."
"He told me to say hello to everyone and when he comes back over here I'm most definitely going to do a video with him so you guys can get to know him."

Hopefully, the father and son duo will be reunited soon.
