When it came to dealing with a homophobic customer over the phone, Hannah – a.k.a. @actuallynothx on TikTok – showed she had no interest in doing business with them.
The angry customer called to complain about the company Hannah works for – which had apparently celebrated Pride month with a social media post, as many companies do to demonstrate their solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community and to help spread visibility for marginalized people in society.
But all that was lost on the customer who continued her homophobic rant while on the phone.
Hannah recorded their interaction and her handling of the fuming customer in a TikTok video.
@actuallynothx This lady was mad that the company I work for posted about #pridemonth🏳️🌈 on social media #customerservice #karen #foryou
The clip – which received over 700K views and over 139K likes since its posting on Thursday – started with Hannah telling the angry woman on the other end:
"Ma'am, it seems like you don't want to have a discussion, it seems like you just want to yell at somebody."
"So if you're gonna keep yelling, and you don't wanna have a back-and-forth discussion, I'm just gonna hang up."
The woman ignored Hannah and used a drinking analogy to imply the LGBTQ agenda was being forced on children.
"I know but when somebody dares your child, because they saw it in a movie, and your child is drunk, or somebody puts something in your child's drink, they are..."
"Well Ma'am," interjected Hannah, adding, "people putting stuff in your child's drink has nothing to do with Pride month."
The customer argued by countering "Hollywood is glorifying 'this culture' and it's [expletive] wrong to glorify this culture, and that's what you're doing and I am so offended."
Hannah argued while maintaining decorum:
"People all around the world, and all around the country, and businesses, have been glorifying straight culture for hundreds and hundreds of years."
The customer who continued to ignore Hannah called her "a disgusting human being," to which Hannah replied:
"Okay, well I think you're disgusting. Bye."
Then Hannah hung up the phone.
People applauded Hannah for how she stood up for the LGBTQ community.

In a follow-up post, Hannah showed another clip from an earlier part of the same interaction that was deleted.
The woman argued approving "that lifestyle" was "wrong," but Hannah immediately told her "I personally very strongly disagree with that, actually."
And when the woman claimed children were committing suicide because of the LGBTQ community, Hannah set the record straight:
"Actually, most of those youths are committing suicide due to a lack of acceptance."
@actuallynothx Reply to @ohrangacan trying again bc it got deleted (this one is not as fun as the first vid tho) #karen #pridemonth🏳️🌈 #customerservice
Fellow TikTokers agreed with the LGBTQ ally and had some choice words for the homophobic customer.
